NightBreed

Nightbreed was mainly a level design project for University which was based on creating a Metroid-Vania level. I was given a framework to use for all gameplay aspects, and the task was to fully design the level and implement everything however I wanted.

The aim of the level is to fight your way through the castle and caves to reach and defeat the final boss. In the level the player can find pickups and also access a shop, which can help them in their final fight.

This project was very different to my previous ones, this was the first side scroller level I've worked on and overall I feel that I captured the theme very well and it was consistent throughout.
